When times are tough, His presence is there.

Through darkness of night, I see a great light,

Though times are long and the darkness dreary,

Trials prolonged and the hearts of men weary,

In this I have confidence, in this I place hope,

My heart is His residence, no matter the slope,

Through storms of the night one thing I can see,

He is clothed in majesty on the mountain peak.

Of this I am confident, and I can assure

His motives are righteous and intentions are pure,

Though darkness surrounds me and shadows delight

In sorrow and mourning, in pain and fright,

Of this I am confident, by His grace I endure,

Of this I’m persuaded and thus I shall sing,

Shouting glory to God, the King of all kings

May Lord Jesus Christ have all the glory!

"Though he slay me, yet I will hope in him" (from Job 13:15).
