Disposition for Praise
My daily duty, duly divine
Proffering honoration with heart chants
Rising like sweet-smelling fragrance
Of Abel’s offering of old
Direction and destination is God
Praise for God, to God
For none deserves but God.

Overwhelmingly Sustainable
At the impulse of grace showering
The Spirit stirs my spirit to joy beyond joy
Not leaving me, but flowing like
Rivers of fresh waters.
Ferdinan Ngomba Vevanje is currently a second-year
student at the National Advanced School of Public Works Annex, in Buea, Cameroon. His poems have been published in Spirit Fire Review and in Emerge Magazine. He is also
a historian of Decentralization and local development and culture, with some journal articles to his credit.
