The Peace Crackling Fire Brings
As I sit in front of the crackling fire,
Autumn leaves swirl all around,
Their brown and golden hues intertwining,
Creating a cozy, calm atmosphere.
The sparks of fire illuminate the room,
As I sit with a cup of hot chocolate,
Reminiscing of autumns having gone past,
Memories I will never forget.
I know God created this cozy atmosphere
So He can help me feel at peace,
Bible open in one hand,
The beautiful verses jumping out at me
As the sound of rustling leaves outside
Leave me with a peaceful feeling.
While I write down what God brings me,
The scent of pumpkin hot chocolate
Fills the room ever so strongly.
The crackling fire helps me feel at ease,
God’s word does the very same,
Christian music filling my mind
As I collect fallen leaves
To be displayed near the pumpkins out front,
God’s beautiful masterpiece,
Autumn’s glorious sight.
