Morning Song: poem by Abbie Johnson Taylor

Painting: a bird sitting on a branch, both silhouetted against a purple sky of moon and stars, above dark water which reflects the moon, and there's a rosy orange glow above the horizon, image by "kirill" on Pixabay.

Morning Song

Moon slowly sinks below the horizon,

one by one, stars disappear,

birds begin their morning serenade

as silver turns to light, making everything glow.

I joyously rise,

ready for a fresh start,

thankful for a new day

God created just for us.
