  Child of the Father

         I am fire-purged,

         Grace-fashioned,

         Love-enfolded.

         I am overshadowed,

         Much-delivered,

         Spirit-borne.

         I am sorely-tested,

         Not forsaken,

         Footsore but still climbing.

         I am found sheep,

         Emerging butterfly.

         I am my Father's child.

          With such care,

          One piece at a time,

          We are glued together

          By the Salvager of Souls.

          Give Him every bit

          Of your battered heart

          And you will find

          What He has created

          And we have marred,

          He can make anew.

Both of these poems were previously published in her books The Pilgrim's Lyre

(AuthorHouse, 2003) and Redefined, Who You are in Christ (Roaring Lambs, 2023).

"Fire-purged, Grace-fashioned, Love-enfolded." Amen!

And "Give Him every bit of your battered heart."
