Immeasurable Divinity

Immutable His love so kind,

Immediate His word assigned,

Impervious His sacred peace,

Impossible our joy to cease.

Calvary, darkest day to ever see

In the garden, sweating blood,

who else but our God.

Calvary, darkest day to ever see,

was endured for our eternity.

Calvary, darkest day to ever come,

was endured for sweet forever won.

I Shall Abhor the World

I shall abhor the world’s allure

since every shame He did endure

upon the cross that bore His frame

so life eternal I could claim.

Should riches tempt me to forsake Him,

remember Satan did not break Him;

for Christ, in all humility,

was set upon His destiny.

Should honour call me to be moved,

recall through scorn the Christ was proved,

then let me be reviled for Him

so to forsake the garb of sin.

And if I should be offered power

then think to mind His final hour

as He did bear the whole of sin

so that new life could full begin.

For not this world is prize for me

when Christ is all my victory,

majestically defeating death

so I may have eternal breath.
