What grace You did bestow.

When my hands could not hit the mark

of that perfect, spotless, sinless life,

You came to earth and did what I could not,

to bear my shame, my pain, my strife.

What can I do to honor such a motion?

What deed can repay such selfless sacrifice?

A sacrificial Lamb with His Father’s devotion,

to bear my sin and pay the price.

Such deeds are too high to comprehend,

such love and mercy on sinners to bestow,

so let my heart sing Your praises,

let my heart with love for You grow.

What grace bestowed on me, a sinner,

when all I had to give was shame,

but You emerged victorious, a winner,

all hail Jesus Christ, the Name above every name!

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this:

While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

May Lord Jesus Christ have all the glory!

"When my hands could not hit the mark

of that perfect, spotless, sinless life." Wow.
